FKF Premier League 2026 Standings: Gor Mahia Lead After 28 Matches

After 28 rounds of FKF Premier League action, the 2025-26 season has delivered a compelling title race at the top. Gor Mahia sit at the summit with 58 points, holding a three-point lead over rivals AFC Leopards on 55. The race for the championship is firmly a two-horse affair, though defending champions Kenya Police are keeping pace in third on 47 points.

The top of the table reads: Gor Mahia 58 points, AFC Leopards 55, Kenya Police 47, Kakamega Homeboyz 46, Shabana 46, Nairobi United 42, Tusker FC 41, KCB 40, Bandari 39, and Murang'a Seal 38. What makes this season remarkable is the congestion in the mid-table, with just a handful of points separating third from tenth place.

Gor Mahia's consistency under coach Charles Akonnor has been the story of the season. The Ghanaian tactician has built a squad that combines experienced campaigners with emerging talent, and their three-point cushion at the top gives them the advantage heading into the final stretch of the season.

AFC Leopards, under Fred Ambani, have been the closest challengers. The Mashemeji Derby between these two sides remains the fixture that captures the imagination of Kenyan football fans, and with both teams competing for the title, the remaining meetings between them could prove decisive in determining where the trophy ends up.

With six matches remaining for each team, the title is still very much alive. The season runs until May 30, and the business end promises drama. For neutrals, the promoted sides Nairobi United and APS Bomet have added fresh energy to the league, while the battle to avoid joining relegated sides at the bottom ensures every match matters.
