Challenges remain, particularly around regulation and fighter safety. The Kenya Sports Act does not yet have specific provisions for MMA, and calls for a dedicated governing body are growing louder. Event organizers are self-regulating with medical requirements and matchmaking standards, but formal oversight would accelerate the sport's professional development.
